Wardrobe Rehoming

When life changes, deciding what to do with a loved one’s clothing can feel emotionally and practically overwhelming.

I offer a compassionate wardrobe rehoming service for families following a bereavement or helping someone move into care. Together, we can thoughtfully sort through their clothing, recognise pieces that may have value, and find appropriate new homes for the garments they leave behind.

How It Works

1. An initial conversation

We’ll begin with an informal, no-obligation conversation about the wardrobe, your circumstances and what kind of help would feel most useful.

2. Sorting with care

I’ll help assess the clothing and suggest the most suitable route for each piece. This might include resale, donation to charity, passing special items to family, or exploring other appropriate homes.

3. Thoughtful resale

Selected garments can be prepared, photographed and listed through Another Season for up to 12 months. When an item sells, 50% of the proceeds goes to a registered charity and 50% supports the time and costs involved in rehoming it.

4. A meaningful new chapter

Where possible, every garment is matched with someone who will genuinely appreciate it—giving beautiful clothing another season while reducing waste and supporting a worthwhile cause.

There is no charge for the initial conversation or sorting support, and there is never any pressure to part with anything before you feel ready.

Why I Offer This Service

This service grew from my own family’s experience of loss and the difficult question of what happens to a person’s belongings afterwards.

Clothing can hold so much of someone’s character and story. Yet at an already overwhelming time, families are often left to sort through entire wardrobes without knowing what may be special, valuable or deserving of a more thoughtful home.

Through running Another Season, I’ve developed the knowledge to recognise quality, research unusual pieces and understand where different garments are most likely to be appreciated. I wanted to use that experience to offer families the kind of gentle, practical support I wish had been available to my own.

For me, this isn’t simply about clearing a wardrobe. It’s about honouring the person who wore those clothes, supporting good causes and allowing meaningful pieces to begin another season.
